While traveling from Warnemunde through the most frequented artificial waterway in the world, you will not want to miss out on a single moment: The Kiel Canal has a lot to offer with its majestic bridges, idyllic villages and nature reserves. The SEAVENTURE then crosses Gotland and heads for the mouth of the Düna, where the old merchant city of Riga welcomes you with its breathtaking architecture. Explore the inspiring art nouveau buildings and visit the UNESCO-protected old town with its wooden houses. Stockholm, which stretches across 14 islands in Lake Mälaren, emerges behind famous archipelago gardens the next day. The "Venice of the North" is steeped in a rich history that is recounted in its many museums. The tour continues on the trail of Thomas Mann to pine forests and huge sand dunes, which are among the largest in Europe – Klaipeda, on the edge of the Curonian Spit. A desert-like landscape that is truly an impressive sight and has been declared a World Heritage Site. At the end of the unique coastline, Gdansk comes into sight. Experience the cosmopolitan atmosphere, which is complemented by its amber, brick churches and Kontor houses. On the other side of the Mare Baltic, Copenhagen presents itself with its contemporary and cutting-edge design. At the end of this unforgettable expedition, you can enjoy the white chalk cliffs of Rugen and take a hike through its wide salt pastures.
