Fire, Ice, Glaciers & Volcanoes: Iceland Intensive Cruise

In no other country in Europe does nature dominate the everyday life of its inhabitants as immensely as here in the far north. Paradisiacal tranquillity and unspoilt landscapes alternate with raging volcanoes, gleaming blue icebergs and a beautiful lake landscape.

  • This North Sea voyage with MS SEAVENTURE starts in late summer. In a fortnight you will visit Iceland intensively and you will reach the legendary island without a flight on board the expedition ship. The sea days on board are exciting and varied and make this sea voyage a bit of an expedition.

Your sea voyage starts and ends in Bremerhaven. On the way to Iceland we will visit Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands. Returning, we will pay a visit to Invergordon in Scotland. The focus of this expedition is Iceland, which we will almost circumnavigate in the coming days. We start on the east coast, where you almost feel like you are still in "nearby" Norway. Colourful wooden houses everywhere, that's how Seydisfjordur - our first stop on Iceland - presents itself. Volcanoes and springs line our route, as do rugged coasts and picturesque bays. With our zodiacs we also reach remote corners and our expedition leaders know "their" Iceland from countless previous journeys.

Exciting lectures on the destination and life in the far north await you on board. Iceland's pulsating capital is the penultimate destination of our "round trip without packing a suitcase". Here, the Icelanders' love of life and their creativity are on full display. The excursion Golden Circle (optional) shows you the picture book Iceland from its most beautiful side. The waterfall Gulfoss, the National Park Thingvellir and the volcano Great Geysir are the destinations of your possible day trip. Via the Westman Islands and a visit to the island of Helmaey and Invergordon in Scotland, you return to Bremerhaven.
